The Technologies of the Future Presented in Constanța: GMB Computers and LASTING System Hosted the “Back to the Future” Conference

CONSTANȚA – July 2, 2026 – GMB Computers, in partnership with LASTING System Timișoara, hosted the “Back to the Future” conference at Doors Club in Constanța. The event served as a landmark gathering dedicated to cutting-edge technologies and next-generation equipment shaping the future of organizations and smart communities.

In a world where artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, converged infrastructures, extended reality (XR), automation, and robotics are fundamentally transforming the way we work and interact, the conference brought together technology specialists, decision-makers, and industry leaders. Its main objective was to explore the digital solutions defining the new technological era.

The event was attended by representatives of private companies, public institutions, academia, and IT professionals. Participants had the opportunity to discover the latest trends and innovations driving the development of modern, secure, and efficient IT infrastructures. The agenda also featured a unique interactive component, allowing attendees to experience immersive spaces and interact directly with humanoid robots.



Top Solutions Presented by Technology Industry Leaders

Mircea Boldea-Colcear (CEO, GMB Computers) officially opened the event, emphasizing the company’s essential role in Constanța’s digital ecosystem. He highlighted how, throughout its 35 years of activity, GMB Computers has contributed to introducing new technologies and helping organizations rapidly adapt to digital transformation.

Antonio Eram, CEO and Founder of Netopia Ventures, a well-known entrepreneur in the Romanian market with more than three decades of experience in digital infrastructure and a former member of the GMB Computers team between 1996 and 1999, highlighted the importance of his years at GMB Computers in shaping his professional career.

Valentina Frangu (Public Sector Lead, Dell Technologies Romania) congratulated GMB Computers on achieving Dell Gold Partner status with Dell Technologies. She provided a strategic perspective on the digitalization of the public sector, Dell’s involvement in national AI Factory initiatives, and the company’s strong partnerships with customers across all market segments.

Bogdan Ioniță (Data Center Specialist, Dell Technologies) presented the principles of Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI), the key elements shaping today’s data center architecture and infrastructure solutions.

Teodor Cezar Mircea (Technical Director, GMB Computers) addressed one of today’s most critical topics: “Cybersecurity: From SOC CYMAROP to an AI-Assisted CSIRT.” GMB operates its own Security Operations Center, SOC CYMAROP, which will provide customers with an advanced AI-assisted XDR (Extended Detection and Response) cybersecurity platform.

Răzvan Lupu (Videoconference Technical Engineer, LASTING System) showcased leading virtual and augmented reality solutions, including VIROO enterprise XR platforms for training and simulation, as well as immersive rooms and collaborative VR environments developed by IGLOO VISION.

Cornel Cătană (Robots Net Consulting / Unitree) led a timely discussion entitled “Humanoid Robots – Myth or Reality?”, accompanied by live demonstrations. Participants witnessed the first Unitree H1 humanoid robot ever brought to Romania, together with the Unitree Go2 quadruped robot.
